Ragheb Alama is a Lebanese vocalist called “The Superstar of the Middle East.” He got that title — apparently — because he has sold lots of albums and toured the world. Saharony Elleil is a set of love songs that sound like they came from a Las Vegas lounge singer. They are vapid and soulless. It is easy to envision Bill Murray’s Saturday Night Live lounge singer crooning these songs and getting laughs. The musical accompaniment sounds like belly dancing music with Western pop music influences. It is slick and contrived.
